November     Habitat Restoration for Endangered Salmon

Join friends and neighbors in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area along the famous Lagunitas Creek and help to restore critical habitat for endangered Coho Salmon!  We will be removing harmful, invasive plants and replacing them with native species beneficial to local wildlife. Come out & enjoy the sun!

Bring in any amount of Electronics, Appliances or Auto Batteries, such items as computers, monitors, TVs, Refrigerators, Washers, Dryers, Microwaves, even your auto batteries. For FREE! Even your Scrap metal, Copiers, Air Conditioners, Vacuum Cleaners, Stereos, VCRs, Printers, DVDs, Satelite Dishes Drop Off .

November 5       The Coast Range of California

John Muir Laws will lead us in an appreciation of some of the little known California coast range species, including their astounding behaviors and interrelationships.

November 11       Sustainability Film Series

The SRJC Student Affairs & the Associated Students final presentation for the  "Fall 2010 Sustainability Film Series" features An Inconvenient Truth - Global Warming. Seating is limited & Free of charge. The goal of the film is to raise awareness of current environmental issues and offer solutions. Panel discussions will be held after the film.

November 11      Annual Northbay Veterans Day Parade

See what has been called the largest, most colorful parade of its kind in Northern California as it winds its way through Historic Downtown heading south on Petaluma Boulevard.

November 25       Sonoma Community Center's Thanksgiving

Please join us at Sonoma Community Center for our annual Free Thanksgiving Dinner. We will have a hosted bar, music, festive holiday decor and traditional foods.

November 26 - 27      Bodega VFD Christmas Crafts Faire

Annual Bodega Volunteer Fire Department's Christmas Crafts Faire. Free Admission. Come Celebrate The Christmas Holidays With Us. All Proceeds Go Directly To The Bodega Volunteer Fire Department.

November 26 - 27      Gualala Arts' Festival of Trees

We invite everyone to join us in celebrating "Christmas on the Coast" with two days of fun, food, live entertainment and activities for the entire family while shopping for that perfect gift. This is a community celebration and a fundraising event for Gualala Arts.

November 26       Healdsburg's Downtown Holiday Party

A Healdsburg Tradition! This celebration in and around Healdsburg's charming Plaza will have plenty of refreshments, holiday cheer and entertainment including jazz, a brass quintet, horse-drawn carriage rides and much more.

November 27      Santa's Riverboat Arrival

 Santa and Mrs. Claus arrive at the Petaluma Riverfront onboard the tug, 'Petaluma', to greet the children and distribute candy canes.

November 28      Tree Lighting Ceremony 

 Tree Lighting Ceremony - VNA Hospice., Healdsburg Plaza Park, Merchant Open House from 3 - 5 pm, Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5 pm.

December 2      Holiday Celebration in Old Downtown Windsor

 Holly trolley Tours of Old Downtown; Elves' Craft Workshop for Children; Strolling Carolers; Holiday Tree Lighting; Children's Polar Express Train Rides, Jingle Bell Carriage Rides, Photos with Santa. Rain or shine.

Time: 5 p.m. - 8 p.m.

December 3      Lighting of City Hall with Santa on the Plaza

 Every year Santa Claus rides on a vintage fire truck to the Sonoma Plaza, lights up the Christmas tree and City Hall and passes out candy canes to tots.

December 3      Sonoma County Chamber Singers Winter Concert

 The Sonoma County Chamber Singers, one of the premier choral ensembles of the North Bay, will present a winter performance of their 2010 concert series.

December 3      Light Up A Life

Celebration: Hospice of Petaluma invites the community to join together in Center Park for an evening of music, inspiration and remembrance. Thousands of clear, bright lights will shine to symbolize the lives, hopes and dreams. With a $10 donation light can be dedicated in memory of honor of a loved one.

December 4      Blessing of the Olives at the Mission

This beautiful, traditional ceremony at the Mission San Francisco Solano de Sonoma. Music, tradition, and refreshments.

December 4     Holiday Parade of Lights

What better way to spend your holiday and finish up the year than with the Parade of Lights! Bring the family out for a good old fashioned parade featuring more than 100 entries of floats, horses, marching bands, antique cars, trucks and more .

Time: 7 p.m.

Location:  Downtown Guerneville


December 4 - 5     A Dickens Holiday Crafts Fair

 Over 60 booths with handcrafted items created and sold by the artists. Fantastic prize give-away! Free entertainment. Refreshments available for purchase.

Time: Sat 9 a.m.-5 p.m./Sun 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

December 11     Holiday Lighted Boat Parade

 View a flotilla of decorated boats along the Petaluma River and at the downtown Turning Basin. Boats leave the Petaluma Marina at 5:30 p.m. and arrive downtown around 6:30 p.m.

Time: 6 p.m.

Location:  Petaluma Riverfront near the Petaluma Mill or Golden Eagle Shopping Center.



December 11 - 12     Annual Occidental Crafts Faire

 Handmade crafts & chances to win great gifts at the Occidental Holiday Crafts Faire. Over 35 local and regional artists, entertainment, a bucket raffle, wreaths, fabulous food, and more. Proceeds from this fundraiser are returned to the community through programs funded by the Community Council.

Time: Sat 10a.m. - 5p.m./Sun 10a.m. - 4p.m.

December 25     Christmas Dinner

 Join your local Sonoma Valley community for the Annual Free Christmas Dinner at the Sonoma Community Center. This holiday meal features gourmet foods, live music, and, more.
